Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices

The Ministry of Public Works has issued two road traffic notices regarding traffic controls for Liberty Mutual National Sprint Triathlon and temporary closure of Flora Duffy Hill.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of upcoming traffic disruptions:

Liberty Mutual National Sprint Triathlon

“The Liberty Mutual National Sprint Triathlon will occur on Sunday, 29 June 2025, between 7.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. To accommodate participants and ensure public safety, temporary traffic controls and adjusted speed limits will be in effect along sections of Front Street, East Broadway, Crow Lane, Bermudiana Road, Gorham Road, Woodbourne Avenue, and Pitts Bay Road.

“Motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow instructions from officials along the route.

Flora Duffy Hill

“Additionally, Flora Duffy Hill will be closed from Tuesday, 1 July 2025, through Tuesday, 15 July 2025, to allow Bermuda Waterworks to undertake waterline replacement, trenching, and paving work.

“Working hours will be from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily. Access to Devonshire Preschool will be provided via the gate at the Cavendish Road bus layby. Alternative routes include Court Street, Spurling Hill, or Tee Street for westbound travel.

“Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and comply with all traffic controls in place during these periods.

“Please refer to the attached Road Traffic Notices for further details regarding the triathlon traffic measures and the Flora Duffy Hill closure.”
