Boxing Bouts Rescheduled For The Shed
Bermudian professional boxers Saundre “Dash” Simmons and Adrian Roach will return to action next Saturday [July 12] in rearranged bouts at The Shed in Dockyard.
Simmons [7-0] was scheduled to face Jamaican Ian Darby [6-2] in a six-round light-heavyweight contest, while Roach was due to make his debut against Canadian Brent Coxworthy [1-3] in a four-round super-welterweight bout at the Victualling Yard last Saturday before the event was cancelled because of heavy rain.
With the open-air event’s ring uncovered, organisers were left with no option but to call off the evening for safety reasons.
Simmons and Roach will face the same opponents at The Shed, which is an indoor venue.
